How much does apartment cleaning cost in NYC?
Flat-rate prices by apartment size, recurring vs. one-time costs, and what drives prices up or down across NYC boroughs.
The short answer: a studio or 1-bedroom in NYC runs $120 per visit on a recurring schedule. A 2-bedroom or 3-bedroom is $175. A deep clean is $250 for any size. Those are my flat rates at Veronica's Clean. No surprises after.

A recurring clean runs on a set schedule, weekly or bi-weekly for most people. The rate is lower than a one-time visit because consistent appointments are easier to plan. You lock in the time; I show up.
A one-time clean covers the full apartment with no schedule commitment. The rate is a little higher per visit. Still flat rate, still the complete apartment.
A deep clean goes past the standard surfaces: inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, baseboards, behind and under appliances. It's the right starting point when you're switching cleaners or moving into a new place. After that, recurring visits keep things from getting ahead of you again.
What affects the price
Apartment size. The biggest factor. A 3-bedroom takes roughly twice as long as a studio. The price difference reflects time on the clock.
Frequency. Recurring plans cost less per visit than one-time appointments. Most clients book bi-weekly. If you're planning to book every two weeks anyway, the recurring rate pays for itself within the first month. Weekly works better for apartments with pets or people who entertain often.
Cleaning type. A standard recurring clean keeps things up to date between deep cleans. A deep clean resets an apartment that regular visits haven't fully reached. Most people start with the deep clean, then shift to recurring.
Borough. Some services charge travel differentials depending on where you are. I keep a flat rate across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Hoboken.

A lot of cleaning services in NYC quote by the hour. The number sounds low until you realize the clock runs until someone else decides the job is done. What you actually pay gets settled after the cleaner is already in your apartment.
Flat-rate pricing means the cost is clear before anyone walks through your door. That's the only way I charge.
What the NYC market charges
For context, here's where prices land across the market in 2026:
- Studios and 1BRs: $100 to $175 per visit recurring. One-time visits typically run $150 to $225.
- 2BRs and 3BRs: $150 to $250 per visit recurring.
- Deep cleans: $200 to $350, depending on size and how much buildup there is.
The range is wide because the category is wide. A solo operator with consistent clients charges less than a staffing agency carrying overhead and a rotating cleaner roster. With an agency, you often get a different person each visit and have to re-explain your preferences every time.
